[Catalyst] hello

I just wanted to share real quick something I thoought was neat. I am babysitting today two boys. Well I have some pillows with Bible verses on them and the oldest boy Heath asked me to read them to him and I did. Later I got my Bible and found a verse that I wanted to see if he could memorize. After I did that and talked about the Bible and what the Bible was he looked at the pillow he was holding and said if it wasnt for this pillow we wouldnt of read the Bible. At first I didn't get what he meant then It clicked he was right. Also the next door nieghbors have kids and one came over. We went inside, after playing outside and Alena drinking bubbles yikes, I had wrote the verse down and stuck it on the fridge and told him that if he ever wanted me to read it to him I would. The first thing he did when we came inside was show the neighbors kid the verse on the fridge. I was beaming and just thought it was soooo awesome how kids learn so much from us. I thank God for showing me that in such a neat way.!!!!!

[Catalyst] our move

First of all I want to praise the Lord!! Just because He is Worthy!!    About our move, some things have taken place and we are not able to close on the house just yet and I am not sure at this moment when it will be. It is supposed to be sometime on or before the 10th of July. So, I will have to let you know when we will actually need some muscle!! In the meantime, I hope you all will have a wonderful 4th of July and celebrate the freedom that belongs to us because of what Christ has done!!!

Gal 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

The Ladies & Thursday Night

BETH FISHER SAID:

"I just wanted to send a quick message to the ladies that were at the Harrison's last night. Thank you all for the encouragement and for the uplifting time we had. I needed it badly, as did you I'm sure. I have been praying for a real time of refreshing and it is so great to see those prayers being answered! Our God is so great!!!!! I appreciate all of you so much and can't wait to see what God is going to do with us in the future. And to everyone who doesn't come on Thursday nights and men - Please continue to uplift our time together in your prayers. Have a great weekend!"

BETHANY TURNER SAID:

"I was just like to Thank God as well for the time that the ladies had at the Harrison's last night. It was something that I really needed desperatly. I know that its not going to end with last night but the things that were said and done last night will continue on and I thank God for that."

HEATHER CHEEK SAID:

"I would just like to add more in response to Beth and Bethany's emails. For all those who come out on Thursday nights, I am sure you can relate to the encouragement and blessings that we receive when we meet together. I would like to thank Jay and Michelle for making it possible for us to meet. We have experienced up and down times with these meetings, but I agree with Beth and Bethany in that I see God stirring up our hearts in love. Let's pray for our time together each week. Let's pray for Jay and Michelle, who make it possible for us to do so. For those of you who do not come out, please pray for times of God-centered fellowship throughout our entire church.

God was the center last night. My desire is to see Him be the center of our meeting all the time. That's what we're here for, isn't it?

I love all of you and I thank God for you! May He be glorified in us! "

WAYNETTE TURNER SAID:

"Praise God for the sweet fellowship lastnight!!! May this be something that spreads throughout the church. Thank you Jay and Michelle for opening up your home, time and food :)!!! I always have such a wonderful time at their house. God always does something special for us who gather together to be around other Christians. May I encourage those who need fellowship to either join in or have somethng at you house like Jay and Michelle, because God has really blessed our Thursday night meetings!! Love ya'll so much and for those coming Saturday, I am truly excited about seeing you all again!!"

MICHELLE HARRISON SAID:
"I also want to give God the glory for how He met with us last night. What an awesome time of fellowship. He is so good to us all the time. It's only by His grace that we were able to experience and express the glory of Jesus Christ. Let me explain how all of us experienced and expressed the glory of Jesus Christ last night. We started out our discussion with asking several questions about servanthood and what it means to be a servant of Christ. Then this question was asked, "Of the people in this room how have you seen them demonstrate servanthood, humility, and love towards others?" It is so awesome how the holy Spirit filled us up as we each told one another how we have seen each other serve others. We experienced and expressed the glory of God in a powerful way. I think we almost ran out of kleenex.
I am so thankful that God is bringing us closer to Himself and to each other. This is an answer to a lot of our Prayers. Keep praying Ladies I do believe there is more to come. My prayer is that God would do this in the midst of our church and bless us with the out pouring of His presence. Please be praying for the conference this week that God would bring revival to us all. Jedidiah and I want to thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord. It is so encouraging seeing you all stirred up and excited for for Him. We enjoy having you out on Thursdays and am thankful for the fellowship and friendship we have with each of you. Our biblical relationships only exist because of our common bond we have in Christ. May Christ be proclaimed through us for God's glory."

Affecting Without Being Affected

Catalyst - a substance that initiates or accelerates a reaction without itself being affected.

Every Christian is called to be a Catalyst
Jesus Christ, the most important Catalyst in history, found a group of twelve people to also be Catalysts. Christ Jesus was the only true Catalyst, because he never conformed to the pleasures of the world. In order to make a difference in each other and society, we have to let Christ live his catalytic life in us. In order for this to be possible, we have to find the true meaning of “forsaking all”. As Christians we are called out by God to be catalysts in the world. My prayer is that we’ll not only learn how to be a catalyst to the lost, but also how to be a catalyst for each other. That we'll learn how to be used by God to change things in eachother’s lives that don’t reflect the glory of God instead of conforming to them.
